Huntington Prep (Huntington, W.V.) small forward Andrew Wiggins, the countrys No. 1 Class of 2013 prospect, according to rivals.com, ESPN, 247sports.com and scout.com, has trimmed the list of schools hes considering to four Florida State, Kentucky, North Carolina and Kansas.
Wiggins, who stands at 6-foot-8 and 190 pounds, visited Florida State last December. Hes tentatively set to visit Kentucky on Feb. 27, Kansas on Mar. 3 and North Carolina on Mar. 9, according to a report by CBSSports.coms Jeff Borzello.
Wiggins, who recently eliminated Ohio State and Florida from consideration, is now scheduled to be in Lawrence when the Jayhawks face West Virginia on Mar. 2 for the second time this season. Kansas narrowly beat the Mountaineers in their last meeting, 61-56, on Jan. 28 before losing three straight games for the first time in eight years.
These visit dates also set it up to have Wiggins in Kentucky when the Wildcats face Mississippi State and in Chapel Hill when the Tar Heels face Duke. Kansas has five Class of 2013 commits so far, all of whom are included in the Rivals150 Tift County (Tift, Ga.) small forward Brannen Green (No. 25), Tilton School (Tilton, N.H.) shooting guard Wayne Selden (No. 26), Wichita North (Wichita, Kan.) point guard Conner Frankemp (No. 31), Rock School (Gainesville, Fla.) center Joel Embiid and Massanutten Military Academy (Woodstock, Va.) point guard Frank Mason (No. 134).
