Arrests made in Jefferson County shooting
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s office has caught the men they believe to be responsible for a Town of Sullivan shooting last week, during which a man was shot in the arm.
Four men with masks, two handguns and a crow bar invaded a home in Spacious Acres Mobile Home Park on W. Sunnyside Drive on the evening of May 5. A struggle ensued between the people at the home and a handgun went off, injuring a man in the upper left arm. The four suspects fled in a pickup truck and dropped off the victim, a Jefferson man, in the parking lot outside In Good Spirits tavern in Rome.
After an investigation spanning several days, police arrested the Jefferson man, a Sullivan man and another man, all of whom they hope will be charged with armed burglary. A fourth man is being held in jail on a probation hold.
