West Allis police have arrested a 28-year-old woman who witnesses say stabbed a man Thursday morning outside a West Allis bar.

According to an affidavit accompanying a search warrant, a witness said a man got into a quarrel with the 28-year-old suspect outside the Jock Stop Bar at 8000 W. National Ave. around 1:50 a.m. After the quarrel, the woman was asked to leave the bar.

When the victim later went outside to smoke and speak to a friend, the suspect walked toward him, yelled and made thrusting movements toward him. She then ran from the scene.

Police said the victim suffered several puncture wounds to his arms and torso that required “immediate medical attention.”

Witnesses later saw the woman running to her apartment nearby and quarreling with someone. The suspect denied being involved in the incident but was arrested on allegations of violating parole.

Police were looking for a knife that may have been used in the incident, the affidavit said.

Court records show the woman has previously been convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with a suspended license and battery.
