Right of Publicity

Right of Publicity is the traditional right to charge for (or bar) commercial exploitation of name or likeness. In recent years it has been extended to include voice and "persona." It evolved out of (and has become a subset of) the Right of Privacy. Some entertainment and sports figures can charge tens of millions of dollars for their right of publicity.
