The plaintiff sold logs to the defendant, and they had a written agreement spelling out the terms of the contract in detail.


Whether the defendant could proffer evidence of oral agreements which contradicted the written contract.


The court refused a new trial.


Where a writing is complete on its face and pertains to the whole agreement, it is acknowledged as a full expression of the agreement of the parties.
